I've MOVED!

With out really wanting to, my blog has moved from all-tied-up-in-stitches.blogspot.com to here. I guess it will be ok, but I liked it where it was. Sometimes we have no say in matters, I guess :)

Any way, I've spent the past hour and a half making my first video. O course it conatins pictures of Hawaii. Rick and I miss it so much. When you spend most of your life in a place, it becomes home. Take a look:

Oh my goodnes, That was beautiful!!!!! The photos are awesome. It's a place I've always dreamed of visiting ~ and very easily see myself living. I've never been there , but want to sooooo badly. And the music brought tears to my eyes. Awesome. Thank you so much for sharing. I feel like I could live thru this.

I have to agree completely with Deb in Little Rock! Don't know how you could have left Hawaii in the first place.

Was it you doing the singing? Such a sweet song and thanks for sharing with us.

Thanks ladies for the comments. I was taking a break from my knitting :)LOL and wanted to do something special for my hubby. Although he only lived there 5 years, he fell in love with it and the people. The 'Lowes' people are his co-workers. We miss it so much and hope to some day return. But only if and when it's right. And no, it's not me singing. It's a group called Na Leo. My hubby and I were married on the beach on Oahu and I chose a song by this group. Hubby chose "If" and we were married under the lighthouse that is in one of the pictures. What a blessing we've had living there :)

Hi Nellie,
Yes, I am a prek teacher with 2 degrees and over 23 years teaching experience. I can't get a teaching job here in Washington state because they don't require anything above a high school degree in order to teach in a preschool. I've been told over and over again that I'm 'over qualified'. It's sad but true.

And speaking of Montessori, my first teaching position in Hawaii was as a teacher in a wonderful school with grades preschool through 6. I loved it there. So much peace and such a beautiful way to teach and learn. The school sits in a quiet valley with a stream that runs through it. We actually could hear the water running and there were well over 200 kids in the school.

I also taught for the Armed Services YMCA, The Hawaii DOE, I was a director of a large preschool, and I taught in a school that served military children. I loved it so much and I miss it, especially this time of the year.
