Part of the wait is over....

As you all know I've been waiting for 2 months now about a manuscript that I submitted to a publishing company for possible publication. Wouldn't you know I sent an email 2 weeks ago as a follow up. Then after reading in a book about getting published, I sent a hard copy of a follow up letter to them just Saturday. Now, guess what???? I get a small post card from them dated Nov 4th (Saturday) saying that it takes them between 2 - 8 MONTHS to review manuscripts!!! So, all those kinda posititve thoughts might just be for nothing. It plainly states on their website that someone who submits a manuscript should hear something between 4 - 6 WEEKS. Oh, well... I guess I will just have to keep waiting. I hope I didn't push too much, but I was just following what this book on getting publish suggested... so the wait is a new one, I really hope it doesn't take another 8 months. I know of another publisher that just might be more suited for my story and I'd like to send it to them, I'm not sure if that is possible to send a manuscript to more than one company at a time. I guess I should research that option. :)
