Just LOOK what I found today at our local antique mall!!! 41 pattern books from the '30s, '40s, and '50s!!!! What a treasure!!! As I was driving to the library, "something told me" to go to the antique mall... well, I'm so glad I LISTENED!!!!! What a wealth of information and stitches are mine. At only $1.00 a piece, I just couldn't go wrong. Everything from doilies, to socks, to hats, to purses, to chair sets, and tablecloths, as well as baby cloths and sweaters, just to mention a few. Did I say I am excited???!!! I had planned to start working on another form of creativity, but after this visit and all these wonderful things, I guess I'm going to be doing a lot of designing this weekend :)"Imagination is more important than knowledge." What a terrific find! I get my cheap thrills also by hunting for forgotten treasures like these books at flea markets and shops. My treasure is a french knitting pattern book translated into english!
Wow awesome find, I'd love to look at those patterns and even just the pictures. Can't wait to see what you make from them
