A SPECIAL book for the children in your life...

This charming story for children illustrates how a loving farmer can turn a simple pumpkin into a simply glorious sight. In the same way, Gods transforming love can fill each of our hearts with joy and light. Liz Curtis Higgs created this parable as a way to share the Good News with her own precious children each harvest season...and now with children everywhere. Recommended for ages 3 to 7. But is able to touch an adult's heart as well. I use to read this every fall to my class as we celebrated the wonder of Harvest Time. You should check it out. It's a real KEEPER! :)

And here's a great recipe for this time of the year... AMISH CHURCH PEANUT BUTTER SPREAD
1 18-ounce jar peanut butter
1 13-ounce jar Marshmallow Cream
2 cups light corn syrup

Mix all ingredients together in a large mixing bowl and beat hard
until well-blended. Spread on top of fresh bread. Makes 5 cups. This is wonderful on a dark whole grain bread. Here in the Great Northwest we love it on "Franz" Columbia River (Sweet Dark Whole Grain) Bread. It's yummy!!! And if you like salty/sweet... try it on saltine crackers!!!
