A Very Special Story...

I heard this quote today while watching the '700 club' and I just LOVE it...
"God wrote the story that I'm living today". Isn't that beautiful and something to think about?

If you've ever tried writing a short story for your own pleasure or for an assignment, you understand how 'characters' can take on a real life of their own. What you started out creating, suddenly becomes something you can't control.

I think it's the same way with God. He has a plan for our lives, our story, and sometimes we, the 'character' in this wonderful story, take control. God, the author, allows this because of His love for us and because He created us with a free will or the ability to make choices.

The Christian walk is like any good story... there are twists and turns in the plot... different 'characters' come in and out of the life of the main 'character'... there are times when the main 'character' grows and falls back into the past.

I'm reminded of Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

So, we may 'go our own way' but throughout our 'stories' God still has a 'plan' for us and it's a good 'plan' one to prosper us and not to harm us, one to give us hope and to give us a future.
