Leaning On The Everlasting Arms

I thought it would be nice if I shared one of my favorite hymns from my childhood. I remember sitting in the last row, right side of our huge sanctuary. As I grew older the words evoked even more meaning to me, maybe you remember them as well...

What a fellowship, what a joy divine,
Leaning on the everlasting arms;
What a blessedness, what a peace is mine,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.

Refrain
Leaning, leaning, safe and secure from all alarms;
Leaning, leaning, leaning on the everlasting arms
.
O how sweet to walk in this pilgrim way,
Leaning on the everlasting arms;
O how bright the path grows from day to day,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.

Refrain

What have I to dread, what have I to fear,
Leaning on the everlasting arms;
I have blessed peace with my Lord so near,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.

Refrain

For those of you wondering how I'm doing with my shingles. I'm praising God! I've had no pain to speak of... a little aching now and then in my thigh (where they decided to appear) But other than that, I'm so thankful. Today is my last day of meds, so all in all, I think I'll live. :)

I've been busy creating something special for our next Harvest Moon posting. I love it, I just hope others do as well. So, be sure to check it out in a couple of weeks.
