Heart Health & Women

The number 1 cause of death to women in America is heart disease. Being a prime canidate for this killer I'm doing what I can to keep my own heart healthy and last year I designed this special cloth to help other women who think "that can't happen to me" be aware of the risks that they might be under. This pattern is a FREEBIE and you can download it just by clicking on the picture. I have also included with the pattern a fact sheet and info on how you can share this info with your friends, family, and coworkers. Now I thought it would be fun to share with you some of my favorite verses that has the word 'heart' in them:
2 Chronicles 1:10-12 When Solomon asked for wisdom instead of 'earthly' things God said "because your heart's desire was for wisdom, I will give you wisdom & knowledge AND I will also give you wealth, riches, & honor"
Psalm 19:13-14 One of my favorites "May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Oh Lord my Rock and my Redeemer."
Psalm 20:3-5 May he give you the desires of your heart and make all your plans succeed.
Psalm 51:9-11 "Create in me a new heart" (this one really goes with the pattern below) Oh God, and renew a steadfast spirit in me.
Deuteronomy 6:5 and Matthew 22:37, Mark 12:30 "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your strenght" THIS IS ONE OF MY MOST FAVS When I was a prek teacher, I taught the children this verse to close all of our prayers... instead we would say "I love YOU God with ALL my heart... ALL my mind... and ALL my body" When I left the children AND their parents made me a beautiful quilt with each hand print and the children wrote their names on it. In the middle of the quilt was this Bible verse. I had dads tell me with tears in their eyes that in their family prayers the children would close saying their version of this verse. I LOVE that :) That is why I loved teaching so much. You can't imagine the lives that are touched.
Matthew 5:8 "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God"
Romans 10:9 Plan of Salvation "If you confess with your mouth that "Jesus is Lord" and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved"
