He wanted me to 'chat' a little about victories, big & small, and the jewels in our crowns that we will eventually place at His feet. He wanted me to share with you that the every day victories that we win over, those trials that might seem too small, or insignificant to mention to others (but we are so aware of them in our own lives) those are the ones that shine the brightest. It's not to say that when we fight the good fight and are victorious over BIG time MAJOR victories that there shouldn't be thankfulness and praise, but it's those little victories that develop character and fruit. As He placed these things in my mind and on my heart He showed me a crown that had large jewels that were beautiful beyond belief, but it was the little itty bitty things that were like diamond dust that glittered the most. They were the ones that seemed to keep the crown together. I was overwhelmed by this thought and was immediately thankful for his GRACE.
I'd just like to encourage you to be strong in all those 'little itty bitty' trials that YOU face every day to hold tight to HIM and His word knowing that the Joy of the Lord is our strength and that joy is in the 'little itty bitty trials' as well as those giants that we face along the way.
What a beautiful Savior!
James 1: 12
12Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

Funny, my mom and I were talking about places to pray a few days ago. That's where she said she liked to pray too. I can't wait until I learn to drive, so I can take advantage of what sounds like an amazing opportunity! :)
By the way, thank you for the beautiful KAL pattern! I absolutely love it. I was just going through my scrap bag, planning more color combinations. :)
Sue, For the 3 years that I was on chemo, I prayed alot of little prayers. I prayed when I could not sleep..I got to sleep if I did. After all that, I got in the habit of little prayers all day. I also found out something else at this time, if I said one positive thing to a stranger a day, I felt better. So when I see a person who looks like they are having a bad day, I make a positive comment about their hair, clothes, or something that stands out. If a sales clerk is being rude, I tell them with a big smile...I hope you have a good day. They go from being grumpy to having a smile.
