Ever Had PMS?

No, I don't mean the kind we women get before experiencing 'that time of the month'. What I'm talking about is PRE MINISTRY SYNDROME? What are the characteristics?
  1. anxiety (where will I go? what will I do?)
  2. head aches (due to the a change in environment)
  3. emotional sensitivity (will I be able to do the job? I will miss my family. What will others say?)
  4. back pain (from packing, moving, or rearranging life)
  5. impulsiveness (I may never have this $20.00 again, so why not blow it? They might not have that where I'm going)
  6. loss of concentration (I want to do so much. How will I be able to accomplish all I want to do for the Lord? Where do I start?)
  7. sleeplessness (excitement prevents relaxation... daydreams at night fill your head)
Know what's THE BEST remedy for this malaise? It's not staying in bed with the covers over your head... it's not holding a heating pad to all the aches and pains caused by PMS... it's not staying away from 'forbidden' foods... it's not complaining to who ever will listen... It's good old fashioned PRAYER!!!!!

Now, you might not be on what you consider the threshold of a mission... but if you are one of God's children... you are!!! Every day that you go out into the workplace, the school, the social agencies that you might go to, you are out on the mission field. And if you or I really take our 'calling' to go throughout the world and tell others seriously, then it's important to start every day with a lot of the stuff that prevents PMS.... PRAYER!!!

God loves to hear whatever we have to say. He just loves to hear our voice. When I was teaching at a school where my own boys went when they were little, it didn't matter that I would have 40 children in my room, I could always hear 'Steven' & 'Chris' if they were anywhere close to my room. That's because they were MY kids. The same is true about God... He knows the sound of HIS children and because He is Omnipotent He can hear us all at the same time!!

Please join me each morning before you start your day, in a time of prayer... on your knees...

That's a truth I can never get tired of hearing.
