I'm Standing With My Sling & Stone...

What a wonderful God we serve that He comes down and speaks to us in our every day life at unexpected times.... here I thought that He was done with me designing... and THEN... yesterday, I picked up a cone of yarn and started to knit... and with each stitch I made I felt God surround me once again and He spoke deep in my spirit these words... "I did NOT give you a spirit of fear... but of power, love, and self-control." 2 Timothy 1:7. As I knit, I found myself not thinking about what I was knitting but of those who needed my prayers... and as I prayed, the design took effect... no frogging... no math problems... just a peaceful time with my Lord... before I always knew when God was with me while I was designing because the name of the patterns just appeared with no thought on my part. Well, this is what happened with the first pattern. Then as I was listening to some of my favorite music, I 'saw' another pattern that God wants me to create...... and then another :) WOW!!! Was I wrong. I'm not sure what I was afraid of, but I'm no longer afraid. And I know that there must be someone out there that might be dealing with fear, because whenever God wants me to share here, there is always a song that is given... one I don't have to find to go with what I write, and sure enough, the song in this video was the FIRST song I came to. Be strong and know that if Jesus is living in you, then there is NOTHING to be afraid of. Instead, God has given us the spirit of power, and love, and self-control so that we can carry out the task He has given us to do. God be with you as you journey today. Be strong and of good courage.
