On Eagle's Wings

Living in the Great Northwest and on the edge of a beautiful pond, we are surrounded by all the beauty and creatures that God put on this earth for our enjoyment. One of my most favorite things to do is to sit and look out our picture window overlooking the pond and watch the birds. It's getting to be that time of the year when the Canadian Geese are stopping by on the migration. They always seem to fly in or out of the pond area at either sunrise or sunset, so I'm able to enjoy listening to their 'fellowshipping' one with another. During the mid morning to mid afternoon the sea gulls come for their time at 'the pond'. I love watching how they dive and swoop and cry all at the same time... it's almost like a game they play with one another. They are such comedians :)LOL. And then... every once in a while... as I sit and just listen to the quiet, I will hear a screech in the distance... and I know a majestic eagle is on its way for a visit to 'the pond'. Soaring so effortlessly high above where the other birds fly... I see the beauty of peace and strength. They make it look so easy... they hardly flap their wings... I could watch them forever.... soar and circle and finally swoop down into 'the pond' for their evening meal. I would love to be able to fly on the wings of one of them....

Eagles are amazing... we did a Bible study on the characteristics of Eagles once and it was awesome... of course can I think of a single one to share with you now, NOPE. I gotta go find my notes on that.
