I will not be counted as one to keep my mouth quiet...

For a long time now, I've wanted to watch the movie "Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed". Today I got the opportunity to watch it and was amazed that once again another freedom of the Christian community in America is being stifled. Well known educators who are the science community are being fired and black balled in AMERICA for even mentioning Intelligent Designed!!!! WE are loosing some of our best scientific minds in fear that they might mention God. How very sad!!! When are we going to WAKE UP!!!! Censorship in America is a very quiet power that is rising and gaining a stronghold in all areas of life, especially in the academic arena. This same kind of censorship is not found in other countries.... strange, but true.

Keeping with this same theme about keeping quiet about 'Godly' things, my dear friend Elaine from Hawaii, called me this week so upset because she had just started a new teaching job with Head Start. She had just been let go after only a few days because she 'prayed' with the children before they ate their lunch. Just like me, Elaine has spent most of her almost 30 years of teaching prek in a church school, were freedom abounds. But she learned a really sad lesson about 'government' education. She was told that she was to never allow Christianity to enter into her classroom by her words or her actions. And because Head Start is a government program, they could not 'risk' having this very loving child/parent teacher in their program. Because they didn't want to 'risk' loosing funding by our federal government. It's ok to 'demean' and 'humiliate' children (which I have first hand knowledge of happening in public/government sponsored schools)and to 'burst their bubble of innate faith that all children have' but it's not ok to teach children principles like "do unto others how you'd like them to do unto you"... and we wonder why children are killing children IN SCHOOLS!!! ???? Where has common sense gone?
