Helen

I just wanted to post my latest bag today (if you want to see the bag up close, just click on the picture). I love this bag because it's more of a traditional bucket bag. I really haven't made too many with a flap and have never tried making one with rounded edges at the bottom. As you can see, I've also incorporated the use of "D" rings. I love this feature and will add more of these to bags that I create in the future.

I had a hard time picking a name for this bag because I only have 2 more females in my family and didn't know which Auntie's name to choose, so I decided that I'd go with the my mom's first sister (that's a gentle way of saying the oldest sister) :)LOL. Any way, I hope she will like it. The yarn is from Jojoland. I bought it on ebay at a fraction of the price that it sells for on the website. The colors of the bag are soft cream, tan, beige, and brown. I love how the colors really blended together. I used double strands and it took about 440 yards. It has been felted. I'm not sure if I want to add anything to it or leave it just as it is... you tell me what you think. :)

It's terrific! Love the color and the flap idea. Do you remember the oval "bucket bags" that had two flaps at the top the both folded, one over the other? I want to try knitting one of those.

Yes, I do remember those and my first bag that I ever felted turned out like one of those... on accident, not by choice :)LOL
