Trial and Error

It's funny how since the weather has cooled a bit and the days are shorter now, I can't seem to find anything that holds my attention very long. I'm disappointed with myself because the boys 'cowboy' vests just don't look like they do in the picture below. I don't like the yarn that I'm using and I think the pattern is way too big. So, with that said, I don't enjoy working on that project. I had made about a dozen knit dishcloths over the past few weeks and got this brainy idea to wash them because one slipped into the family laundry. That one came out nicer than I would have ever believed, so I thought well, why don't I wash the rest of them... BOY was I surprised!!! They didn't look as pretty as they did going through the wash :) So, now I'm not sure how I will spend my evenings when the light gets further and further away. Hubby says "pick up a book and read" :) But I can't watch 'Dancing With The Stars' ;) So, I guess I will spend tonight looking through endless pages of printed 'freebies' to find just the 'right something' to make. I know that Christmas is getting closer and closer so I'd like to get started on making something little for everyone on the list. Well, I guess I better get going if I am going to get anything done. :)
