Tea, Patterns, & Verses

It's been a while since I've sat down and just talked about 'everyday' things and I thought I'd do that today :)

To start off with, over the past 2 years I've been able to do something that I've never in my life been able to do... and that is keep my New Year's Resolutions. Last year I resolved to stop eating salt on my food... now, I don't even cook with it any more, nor do I add it to my food. But I do know now that most foods already have salt in them. For over 50 years I've craved salt. As a young girl I remember eating it by itself. The only 2 other times that I forced myself not to eat it was when I was pregnant. I can't believe how salty food now tastes... naturally. So that's one thing I've 'done for myself'. The other resolution was to stop drinking soda (or pop, if you're from the east :). With all the pain I was having early in the year, I thought maybe for some reason it might be cause by the soda. I never really drank a lot... maybe 1 glass a day with my evening meal (8oz) but I did drink it every day. So, this year my resolution was to stop that. And I've done really well. I may have a small soda if we go out to eat, but not all the time. I've fallen in love with iced tea!!! I'm sure if I looked hard enough, I could find that it, too, isn't good for me, but I'm not going to look :)LOL Below you can see my favorites!!! While visiting my mom, she got me 'hooked' on Lipton Cold Brew... LOVE the convenience!!! And then last week Rick brought home an ice tea maker and I went crazy!!! I love brewing the tea with 2 Lipton Large Size (regular brew) tea bags with one of the following: Earl Grey, OR Mint Green Tea, OR Blackberry Tea. Since each taste sweet to me, I don't use as much sweetener as I usually would. If you are a tea love, give it a try :)

I've been very busy designing once again. And I feel good about doing it. It's a joy to see something come into being as I listen and obey. I was chatting with my bff BONNIE and I just had to share my latest design with you all. It won't be available until late next week or so. When I'm knitting sometimes I just 'feel' something special with a design. I'm not sure why I feel that, but this is one that was a dream to knit. I call it "Love Buds" because the little lace border looks like it's made up of rose buds and I love this cloth. It feels so soft and cushy :)

And finally, I wanted to draw your attention to my side bar where you will see a special Bible verse. Jason is the webmaster for Christian Webmasters and he happened upon my blog one day and asked if I'd like to post his script on my blog. His script randomly selects a different verse every so often. You can get his script for your blog or website HERE. Be sure to check it out. We can never have too much of the WORD. :)
God Bless All!!!
