Blessings and Words from the Bible

I realize that over the past few postings, I've been saddened by the current affairs of our world, so today as I listened to God speak, He took me to this passage below... and as always it was pertinent to my life today. Through it, I've gained joy and confidence that "in ALL things God works together for those who love him and are called"....

Romans 8
More Than Conquerors

28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,[j] who[k] have been called according to his purpose. 29For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

31What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36As it is written:
"For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."[l] 37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[m] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

More Blessings...
One of my most favorite things are Japanese Craft books. I just adore and am amazed at the beauty of the little quilted objects that they create. I also love them because when they write the directions, they also use very detailed photos to go along with each step that is needed to create the object. Well, up until just last month, I would purchase these books via ebay. And when we went to Hawaii, I went to a Japanese bookstore and picked up many of them there. Last month I found an Asian website that if your order is more than $30, shipping is FREE!!! So, I kinda went wild... below you will get a glimpse of the books that came in yesterday's mail. I've had such fun looking through each one amazed at the beauty of each item. Enjoy..

Another collection that I've been blessed to enlarge is my collection of stitch design books. With these that I won this week on ebay, I probably have about 15 now. And again, the ones I love the most are non-English designs. I've learned how to read European English, French, and Japanese patterns. Just when I think there couldn't be another new stitch I found a new one... :) kinda like just when I think God could not bless me more, He does!!!

Maybe tomorrow I will choose some of my favorite things from my Japanese books to share with you :)
