I thought I would share a few things with you today that might interest you :)
Be sure to check out my FAVORITE CHRISTMAS SONGS & VIDEOS (to the right). So many of these bring back a lot of memories of other wonderful times. I even included a few from Hawaii.
For a week or more the weather broadcasters have been saying "SNOW on Wed." Well, they were really right in our area!!! I so enjoy watching the birds outside our living room window. God always reminds me of how he cares for them and how much more he cares for us. Today, as you can see, they are holding on tight for dear life :) Behind them you can see the pond that is now frozen over and covered in snow. What a beautiful sight. Thank you God for how you created all things to work together and for giving me my sight.
Earlier I told you about a wonderful book that I've been using in my devotional time (Knowing & Loving The Bible by Catherine Martin). I wanted to share a few things on how to make the Bible come alive and to ultimately create an intimate relationship with God.
Getting The Most Out Of Your Bible Study
1. Slow down so that you make time to study every day.
2. Put yourself in the situation-
5. Memorize Scripture
1. Fruit
2. You will begin to reflect the character of Christ
3. You will live the life worthy of the Lord
4. You will be able to lead others to Christ
And one last quote from Martin that says a lot to me that I wrote in my Bible:
"The challenge for you is not to be in the Word more, but to have more of the Word in you. It is not what you do in the Word, but what the Word does in you." I LOVE THAT!!!
