Thoughts On Healing & Praise

God continues to surprise me in the way in which He works. For the past week I have been suffering with a really bad ear ache. This weekend it became so bad that I could no longer hear in my right ear. And without health insurance I knew that a visit to the clinic might be out of my means. But more importantly, I knew that I had the healing within me. All I needed to do was ask. This I've learned to be true... over the past few years... 'by HIS stripes, I am healed'. BUT it's up to me to claim the healing. HE is a gentleman and would never force HIS way on any of HIS children. I had also learned many years ago while studying on spiritual warfare, that it is very important to ask for the prayers of others. And more importantly, to ask those prayers from people you know who believe and are in one accord with God's truth. There are many wolves in sheep's clothing. So, I sought out those that I knew that had the truth in their hearts and I asked for prayer. And God healed!!! Yesterday when I woke, I could hear!!! The pain and pressure were completely gone!!!! I praise God that even in little things like my ear ache HE cares for HIS children... He Loves ME! And I thank God for my very close circle of Christian brothers and sisters in Christ who also believe.

As I was working on a new design today, I happened to hear someone on the 700 Club say "first he has to want to be healed". What a curious thing, I thought. Who would NOT want to be healed? And then I thought about some of the people that I've come across in my life. They seemed to have a personal gain in their illnesses.... sympathy, gifts (monetary & other wise), and pity. How sad. I wonder how short they are cutting their own physical lives so they can reap the benefits of their 'illnesses' for the moment. And I wonder what blessings they have missed or are missing because God is waiting to do something wonderful in their lives. If you find yourself in this situation, I can only encourage you to pray for your healing. Look up with great hope to the Lord your God! Ask God to cleanse your heart from all unrighteousness and then come boldly into His throne room and let your needs be made known. The Bible says that God is able to do abundantly more than you can ask or imagine; all things are possible through Jesus! Praise the Lord. I know this is true. I know that God has a divine purpose for each one of us, a plan for our lives that only He can foresee. As you pray, believe it to be true even before your healing has manifested itself. For our Heavenly Father desires to give His children the things they need. He takes pleasure in this act of love.

God bless you and may He lay His healing hand on you today :)
