Another Creative Venture...

Isn't this little lady a sweetie? She was one of my students that blessed my life in Hawaii when I was teaching preschool.

Who wouldn't enjoy starting the day with that smile?

Ok, now on to another creative venture that was given by the Lord...

As I was driving home this morning from the store, I was in awe at the beauty of the morning... the sky a beautiful autumn blue, the sun shining bright, the leaves just beginning to turn, and the air crisp with a new season. I love praising God for His handiwork and for allowing me to enjoy what He created for us because He loves us so much. As I drove, I was praying expressing to Him how very thankful I was for the day and for life. And as I did so, I found myself singing this song that He gave to me for the children....

Praise the Lord in Action (sung to the tune of "If You're Happy")

Say good morning to God
and praise the Lord (clap, clap)
Say good morning to God
and praise the Lord (clap, clap)
Say good morning to God
He's the Father of us all,
Say good morning to God
and praise the Lord (clap, clap)

Put your hands up in the air
and praise the Lord (clap, clap)
Put your hands up in the air
and praise the Lord (clap, clap)
Put your hands up in the air
Let Him know that you care
Put your hands up in the air
and praise the Lord (clap, clap)

Put your hands down on your feet
and praise the Lord (tap your feet)
Put your hands down on your feet
and praise the Lord (tap your feet)
Put your hands down on your feet
Tell the Lord that He is sweet
Put your hands down on your feet
and praise the Lord (tap your feet)

Put your hands upon your hips
and praise the Lord (with hands on hips turn from side to side)
Put your hands upon your hips
and praise the Lord (with hands on hips turn from side to side)
Put your hands upon your hips
Sing praises from your lips
Put your hands upon your hips
and praise the Lord (with hands on hips turn from side to side)

Say good morning to God
and praise the Lord (clap, clap)
Say good morning to God
and praise the Lord (clap, clap)
Say good morning to God
He's the Father of us all,
Say good morning to God
and praise the Lord (clap, clap)

I thought this would be a really cute song to have the children sing in the morning to both get them into the habit of talking to God in the morning as well as getting some exercise or to get wiggles out before circle time :)

Thank you, God!!!
